Snaips guide

Update your website yourself.
AI helps.

Even small website changes are worth making while they are relevant. AI helps business owners and employees update content themselves.

Small updates, big benefits

Keep your website in step with your business.

Your website serves customers when they can find accurate, up-to-date information.

  • Quick, everyday changes

Correct outdated information, clarify a service description or change your homepage text without a separate work order.

  • Campaigns and current events

Publish an offer, event or seasonal information while it is still useful to your customer.

  • GEO and discoverability

Use instructions such as the fixes in your Snaips GEO report. AI helps you work through tasks one at a time and tells you when you need your maintainer.

  • You stay in control

Use AI to help write content, or let it do more when your website and tools support it.

How the guide works

Your tools. Instructions that fit you.

Choose your AI assistant, subscription, website platform and level of help. The guide shows the setup steps for your choices.

  1. Tell us which AI you use

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another assistant. Choose your plan too, so the instructions fit your options.

  2. Choose your website platform

WordPress, Wix, Webflow, Shopify, standard web hosting or another website. If you’re unsure, we’ll help you find out.

  3. Decide how much help you want

AI can guide you, prepare content or make changes for you through a suitable connection.

  4. Follow one task at a time

The guide helps you get your chosen method ready. Once your assistant is set up, continue working with it; good practices are available in the general help.

Get started safely

Always review before you publish.

When AI can make changes directly to your website, check its permissions and publication actions separately.

Remember: Never paste passwords into AI chat. Prefer drafts, and review the result on a computer and phone before publishing.

Choice 1 / 4

Which AI assistant would you like to use?

Choose an AI assistant you know. You can change your selection later.

One choice at a time. No unnecessary questions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a paid AI subscription?

Usually not for drafting and step-by-step guidance. Direct editing and heavier usage can require additional permissions or a paid plan. Check both accounts before upgrading.

Can AI update my website automatically?

On some platforms, with a supported connection and permissions. A normal chat does not automatically have editing or publishing access. Review and approve live changes separately.

What if I don’t know my website platform?

Sign in where you normally edit the website. If you are still unsure, ask your webmaster for the platform name. You can draft content in the meantime.

Can I review changes before publishing?

Ask for a proposal, draft or staging preview first. If the tool cannot provide a safe review or undo option, stop and ask your webmaster. Saving a live page may publish the change immediately.

General guidance

Good practices when working with AI

  1. Explain your goal and ask AI for a proposal first. Supply the correct facts and ask it to check anything that is missing.
  2. Use a separate draft or working copy before changing a published page. Check whether saving or applying a change would immediately affect the live site.
  3. Review the wording, business details, links and the result on a phone too. Keep the original content or a backup so you can undo the change.
  4. Approve applying changes and publishing separately. Authorize only the changes you want and check what the AI’s actions will do.

Ask AI to prepare changes for review before anything is published. An AI subscription alone does not give access to your website.

Keep control of your website

  • Never paste admin passwords or API keys into AI chat.
  • Prefer trusted official connections and limit access to the required site and task.
  • Do not share confidential customer or employee data unnecessarily.
  • Ask for a draft or preview; publication needs a separate approval.
  • Back up before technical or site-wide edits.
  • Stop if you cannot confirm safe staging, a draft or an undo option.
Use the guide without interactive controls

The interactive guide needs JavaScript. You can still follow the short instructions below and open the official help links.

  1. Describe the change. Share the page URL and your goal. For business details, provide the correct facts.
  2. Ask for a draft first. Have AI prepare exact changes and explain where they belong. Do not publish yet.
  3. Review the result. Check names, prices, contact details, links, search fields and the page on mobile.
  4. Approve and publish. Publish only after review. Back up before changing layout, code, plugins or site-wide settings.
